We offer advanced radiation therapy that allows us to give radiation with pinpoint accuracy and precision.

  • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
    • This is a specially designed coordinate-system used for pinpoint precision on tumors in the body. This uses high doses of radiation over a shorter course of treatment with precision accuracy.
  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
    • This therapy uses an x-ray beam to shrink or control the growth of a tumor by either killing the cells directly or disrupting the cell’s ability to grow.
  • Gamma Knife
    • A minimally invasive stereotactic radiosurgery tool that uses extremely precise cobalt radiation beams. The Gamma Knife is used to treat brain tumors, trigeminal neuralgia (face pain) and other neurological disorders.
  • High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR)
    • This is a type of internal radiation therapy that delivers radiation from implants placed close to or inside of the tumor.
    • We offer prostate brachytherapy with the use of prostate seeds.
    • We offer gynecological brachytherapy with the use of radiation given internally via cylinders, tandems and rings.
  • Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
    • This therapy is used to treat tumors in areas of the body that move, like the lungs. Radiation therapy machines come with imaging technology that allows our doctors to image the tumor before and during treatment. By comparing these images to the reference images, your position and/or the radiation beams can be adjusted to more precisely target the radiation dose to the tumor. Some of the advanced technology we use includes:
      • TrueBeam is a fully-integrated system for image-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery. The TrueBeam system treats cancer anywhere radiation treatment is indicated, including lung, breast, prostate and head and neck. This technology works by choreographing systems-imaging beam delivery and motion control. The combination of these allows your healthcare provider to see the tumor and apply exact radiation beams to kill cancer cells while compensating for your movement.
      • The Trilogy system combines imaging and treatment technologies to deliver the widest range of external beam radiation therapy for cancer and neurosurgical treatments. This radiation treatment is built around a medical linear accelerator, a machine that rotates 360 degrees around you to administer radiation treatments from many angles.
  • Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT)
    • This technology uses linear accelerators to deliver precise radiation to a tumor while minimizing the radiation to surrounding normal tissue.
  • Conformal Radiation Therapy (CRT)
    • This cancer treatment shapes the radiation beams to match the shape of the tumor.
